My name Sapphire Shiohwan. I studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, earning my Associates of Arts degree. After FIDM, I continued my education in fashion design at Woodbury University in Burbank, earning my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree.

Upon graduating Woodbury University, I landed my first fashion industry job as a fashion copywriter at HauteLook. My time at HauteLook allowed me to explore and learn about the e-commerce side of fashion. I worked there for three years. I then continued my copywriting career as a fashion copywriter at GUESS, Inc. I wrote product and marketing copy for GUESS Factory and GUESS Kids. I was there for about a year and two months.

I truly enjoy fashion copywriting, but I also love art. Wanting to put my freehand illustration skills to good use, so I decided to make my passion for fashion illustration my side job by freelancing. Whether if I'm writing or illustrating, I love doing both because they allow me to apply my creativity in different ways.
