While finishing up my senior year of college I have begun to find out who I am as a designer and what I want to design. I just recently got engaged (hints the name Parsons Design) Parsons will be my new last name. I find my inspiration in different ethnic groups. My first collection I made,which I named, Bold Statement, I was intrigued by my own spanish culture. I loved the bright colors of the spanish culture whether it be through their pinatas, flags, fiestas, embroidery work, etc. The bright colors caught my eye and helped me incorporate that in my designs. My second collection, Gems of the Night, I was inspired by the rich jewel tones of the Arabians. This collection is complete with rich printed fabric. I make garments that are flowy yet structured, detailed, pieces mixing prints and colors. This is only the beginning and I cannot wait to begin my journey in creating pieces in the fashion world for young women to wear.
