More Information

Before I started my career in fashion design I was sewing on my own in Home Economics class in high school. With only little prior experience in sewing from my mother and aunt, I felt like sewing and designing garments was natural to me. Still in high school, 2006 and 2007 I entered the Daughters of the American Revolution contest, suits category, and won first place both years. It was a big accomplishment for me to be a consecutive first place winner in a difficult category, so I decided to further my career in design.

As a graduate from the Art Institute of Philadelphia I am creative, very detail oriented, motivated, and always willing to learn something new. With my bachelor’s degree in fashion design, my skills have excelled in design, art, and technology. I am able to commit and meet deadlines on time by being organized and managing my time efficiently. While attending the Art Institute I was recognized for my hard work and won awards such as Academic Recognition, Best of Quarter Patternmaking III, and deans list. Also, I was able to have some garments showcased on display and was participated in the Philadelphia Fashion Week in 2010 and see some of my own creations on the runway. From my awards and recognition I was still able to stay grounded, level headed, and committed to keep moving forward.

From my experience working as an associate menswear designer at Domestics Clothing, I am able to work swiftly in fast-paced environments while handling various projects. Have a high level experience with programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office. At the company I also handled photo taking for the blog, website, and updating social media. Was trusted with a lot of responsibilities given by the CEO of the company such fabric selection, processing orders, taking inventory, deliveries to local shops, booking and styling models, and handling money transactions. I worked independently and as a team player with the CEO and the design team. With Domestics Clothing, I was also abled to be featured in Hidden Champion Magazine in the winter 2013-2014 issue and be recognized again for my hard work. With strong knowledge and passion for fashion/clothing production process, technical work, and computer skills, I would be a great addition to the team. I take every opportunity and embrace every challenge I encounter.
