Worked with brand designer to establish color/fabric on a seasonal basis, sent out
and followed up on lab dips, reviewed and approved/rejected color; trouble-
shooting color issues such as color fastness and color correction.
• Completed fabric price forecasting report for spring 2012 at REI which was the
basis for negotiations which resulted in significantly lower prices on nearly every
fabric used in the spring 2012 season.
• Reorganized fabric development files at REI for greater efficiency and ultimately
greater collaboration across departments resulting in larger savings on raw goods.
• Completed color development for spring 2014 at Cutter & Buck which included
synthetic fabrics dyed a variety of bright, intense colors requiring testing for color
fastness and extra monitoring / collaboration with fabric mills; followed through to
resolution.
