Designing branded lines, I emphasized brand integrity, quality and recognition. In response to weekly selling reports, my team updated best selling styles and introduced emerging trends.

As a private label designer, I developed knitwear for a broad range of clients. I collaborated with their designers and product teams to develop product specific to their customers.

I begin my design process shopping the European and domestic markets for yarn, fabric, color and silhouette direction. I set seasonal trends and color pallets by reviewing runway shows and forecasting services. I often source new trims and yarn on-sight in Asia. I prepare first sketches complete with stitch and embellishment techniques for my team to develop a sample line, on time for market week. I pair with the production team to meet time & action and pricing requirements. I oversee fittings, lab dips, and print approvals through the production process.

I have conducted the necessary research to expand and implement new product categories. I utilize computer technology to aid in organization, communication and efficiency. My strength in hand knit, crochet, knitting machine capabilities, embellishment and yarn knowledge assists me in bringing to market the newest trends in the cut & sew and sweater market.
