Awards
Finalist in IADT IMAGINE 2006 Fashion Show: May 2006
• I wanted to create a new mourning dress with a very feminine feeling. So I created a seven piece crinoline gown which included: two crinoline cages, detachable sleeves, a detachable train, a body suit with an exaggerated collar, a bodice that was all boning, and two skirts layered over each other.
Finalist in GM Competition 2006: May 2006
• For this competition I focused on the Cadillac and the Pontiac Solstice to create very feminine gowns, showing off the curves and the beauty of a woman’s body. I then added details of the cars to create an easy flow from design to the body of the car.
Finalist in Emerging Designer Competitions: Sep 2006
• I designed two suits, both with new twist to the female industry. The first was a halter vest with a penguin tale, and a backless blouse with a high collar. The second was a vest with the front and back side panels made up of sewn in boning. The blouse also backless with exaggerated sleeves, and elbow to wrist button down cuffs. Both designs had knee length pencil skirts
