More Information

In 2005 I joined the DIDI-Coltex Retail Group in Holland as a design stylist and buyer. The DIDI Collection is a collaborative venture and comprises of five lines of women’s wear. Together with a handpicked team I used design principles, research background, fabric expertise and cutting-edge print methods to develop a range of womenswear over two seasons.

In 2007 I was hired by the Harvest Group plc, London as Head of Design for Women’s Outerwear, whose clients include ASOS, Jane Norman, Top Shop, New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridges, Pineapple, Red Herrring and Debenhams. Responsibilities included analysis of current market trends leading to the development of a unique range of design ideas in a highly competitive market arena, whilst preserving each of the brand signatures.

Returning to Holland in 2009 I joined the Coltex Retail Group as Senior Woven Designer/Buyer. I am responsible for the design development of woven casual wear, formal wear, denim leather and outerwear for the Superstar fashion label. My main achievement was to re-launch the Superstar label in collaboration with the sales and marketing team. A research programme was carried out across Europe in the major fashion cities and fabric fairs to gain a true picture of the market requirements and the competition together with shopping habits amongst specific target audience groups. This helped identify and predict potential new trends, fabric developments and ultimately the creation of design concepts. This was all achieved without jeopardising the Superstar brand philosophy. A key role was to ensure the overall project was delivered on budget, on time and on brief in collaboration with the Superstar team. Areas more specifically included washing and finishes, sample making through to the creation of finished prototypes, agreement on final delivery schedules, achieving planned weekly targets, styling for seasonal look book and web shop and co-ordination of styling presentations for company directors and store managers.

I am a highly principled and customer focused professional designer who is passonate about the development of ethical fashion, now seeks a new opportunity and challenge to further develop her career within a dynamic and cutting edge fashion business.
