FREELANCE DESIGN AND PRODUCTION 2007- current
I have used this time to create freelance design, specification drawings and factory liaison services networking with various design companies, fashion houses and Italian based factories.
MANAGER GOLDMARKET FIRENZE 2007- current
The Goldmarket is a large outlet operating in the Santa Croce Centre of Florence retailing in precious metals and stones. I took on the role as Manager with this company in order to expand my business administration and management skills. These responsibilities include the management and secure control of stock; display and visual merchandising; selling and staff training. For the last 7 (seven) months I have been engaged on a part time contract in order to pursue my design work in parallel.
DESIGNER ANNE KLEIN (WOMENS FOOTWEAR) 2006-2007
The Anne Klein design office was based in Florence Italy directly reporting into the Jones Apparel Head Office located in New York. This meant regular and frequent travel between the two cities for range and budgetary presentations. Functions of this role were wide and varied extending from the initial creation of seasonal trend/mood boards through to presentation and sell in of finished products to the parent company. My primary responsibilities in this role covered design inception, raw material sourcing and trim development and full product development with the supply chain inclusive of Italian factories and suppliers. As representation for the Anne Klein office in Firenze, my role was heavily reliant on my ability and success in building relationships and partnerships with local Italian based suppliers and factories. In conjunction with the development of the Anne Klein footwear range, I was responsible for producing a small line of accessories to compliment the range.
