Since graduating in 2000 I have worked as a freelance eyewear designer for a variety of companies across Europe, North America, Asia and Australasia.
In 2002 I began working with the Norwegian company WeNeverSleep on a freelance basis, and in 2006 became their full-time designer. During that time I was responsible for designing Bruuns Bazaar optical and sunglasses collections, and the first Cheap Monday sunglasses collection. I also designed two sunglasses collections for H&M's COS stores, and sports-fashion sunglasses collections for the Norwegian skier Kari Traa.
After finishing work on the 2009 collections for WeNeverSleeps brands, I started working freelance again in July 2008. Since returning to freelance work I have designed for several companies including Monoqool, Götti, IC! Berlin, Mondottica (Hackett Bespoke and Hackett Genuine Horn), Cubitts, C.W. Dixey & Son, OWP Brillen (Mexx), MÛ Visions, Danish Eyewear, Zoobug and Nouveau Eyewear.
I have extensive experience of working on licensed brands, particularly in the Scandinavian market, and on a wide range of other eyewear projects from niche and luxury products through to mass-market. As a a trained jeweller I have an appreciation of materials, their strengths, weaknesses and limitations. My strengths lie in producing commercial but cool shapes, incorporated into interesting but sellable concepts with attention to detailing.
