As a former fashion design student from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, I have acquired such knowledge as garment construction, pattern drafting and draping, machine and hand knitting, fashion illustration and digital manipulation, as well as accessory design and milinary techniques. My knowledge of Adobe Phototshop and Illustrator are presented in my portfolio, and my skill level is increasing. My work has been showcased both in campus displays and in fashion shows. Awards and honors include Dean's List, Best of Quarter, 4.0 GPA, Outstanding Achievement, and Best Portfolio.
In August of 2005, I was chosen to represent my school in the MOTHER'S WORK MATERNITY Student Design Contest, where my design was featured in the company's spring fashion show.
Furthermore, I have gained industry experience as a design assistant (intern) to high-end women's designers Peter Som and Ginny Hilfiger. It is here that I assisted the designers and their team from design to production. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to creating and organizing technical packages, managing inventory, supervising sample production, communicating with factories, tracking client orders, as well as assisting with trunk shows and fashion shows.
