Coehlo is a collection inspired by the novel The Alchemist, written by Paulo Coehlo. The aim of my collection is to tell the story of Santiago's journey, geographically and emotionally, through looking at the landscape shapes, textures, and colors.

Reminiscing on childhood memories of summer trips to a family friend's 200 year old home in Delaware. The home was blessed with a beautiful garden whose fluttering hummingbirds, warm sunlight, and saturated flowers instill a sense of nostalgia.

In this collection I am representing the juxtaposition between the suppression imposed by the Soviet Union on nearly all aspects of life with the strength and resilience of the Russian people.
