Designing my six look collection I was mainly inspired by Frank Stella’s artwork Raqqa II. What I love most about this artwork is the bold use of color as well as the geometric patterns that he incorporated. In my collection you can see a pattern use of triangles as well as three colors that I think work well together. In my designs I wanted them to stand out more so I designed unique splits on some of the dresses as well as sleeves that are triangular. I was also inspired a little by the weather on a cloudy day. On cloudy days I like wearing dark and cools colors with a bright color that would help stand out on a gloomy day, that’s where the pink played a part in my designs. For the background of my six look collection I thought that a blank background would work best so the viewer’s eyes would be drawn to the center where the designs were.
