ANON art objects/purses include day totes/paintings which may function as carry ons, briefcases for business women, and portfolios for artists. They feature semi precious stone pulls and adjustable bamboo/silk straps.
Small evening purses/clutches in modern triangular form complete the line. Each piece is designed and drafted individually from each painting.
The theme of restoration occurs throughout the process of making these objects, restoration of craft as a life style. This line of purses is an example of the new paradigm movement, Slow Style, which re sacralizes the art of making things as creation in a humanely scaled way. In accordance with that idea each purse is imbued with meditative and mindful action.
The items shown are no longer available and those in inventory are being used as future production prototypes for a limited edition line.
ANONs facilitator, Virginia Bryant has practiced as a costume, fabric and garment designer, choreographer and curator in conjunction with a lifetime in art as a painter.
In the 80s her garments shared retail space with brands such as Yamamoto and Westwood. Her work as a painter has garnered awards and press locally and nationally.
Please note that the ANON portfolio purse is protected by copyright law.
