OLIVIA PALERMO’S NORDSTROM LINE HAS ARRIVED – Nylon
“Olivia Palermo has joined forces with Nordstrom to start designing a line in collaboration with their in-house label, Chelsea28. Under a one-year partnership, she’ll be launching four collections—spring, summer, fall, and holiday.  The 32-piece spring collection will debut this Monday and is full of modern and high-fashion looking pieces that you would expect Palermo to be photographed wearing front-row—wide leg pants and jumpsuits, culottes, tailored blazers, menswear-inspired shirting, and stylish yet “everyday” denim. Palermo told Vogue, “It was important to start with life pieces, as I call them. Taking a great navy wide-leg pant, for example, and being able to restyle it.” With prices ranging from $68 to $448, the collection has some surprisingly affordable pieces.”

It’ll be available for purchase in Lipsy stores (sadly, there are none in the U.S.) as well as their online store.”

19 UP-AND-COMING ATHLEISURE BRANDS THAT AREN’T LULULEMON – Business Insider

Everyone is trying to cash in on it, from Dick’s Sporting Goods to Nike.”

THE CEO OF MICHAEL KORS, IN 2 SENTENCES, LAYS OUT WHY BRICK-AND-MORTAR RETAILERS ARE DOOMED – Business Insider
“Retailers are facing a puzzle. Theoretically consumers should have more money in their pockets from low gas prices, low unemployment, and (slowly) increasing wages. Despite all of these tailwinds, retailers have been reporting generally disappointing earnings. So why are many traditional retailers flailing given favorable economic trends? According to Michael Kors CEO John Idol, it comes down to one thing: online sales.”
