Previously, Laura studied Fine Art achieving a B.A Hons before realising her skills in making and illustrating were truly meant for the footwear world. This previous experience has given her work an additional creative edge, always finding inspiration in the most unusual places and transferring this to her designs. She loves to develop intricate details such as surface texture/pattern as well as exploring creative construction processes.

During her time at De Montfort University she has gained valuable skills in pattern cutting, bespoke footwear, biomechanics, trend prediction and illustration. Free hand sketching and producing cad drawings to a high standard (Illustrator and Photoshop) is something she enjoys and is confident in doing.
