What should everyone know about you?
KK: When I started my career there were many ups and down but I stayed calm and focused and was positive and I also learn how to be patient which has helped me get where I am today.
How would you describe what you do?
KK: I would describe it as freedom, art and creativity and patience.
Why did you choose to be a designer?
KK: I always wanted to dress up a beautiful women and also was always curious how we can transform a piece of cloth into a nice shape and pattern according to how we like which made me go to design school to learn more in depth
What steps did you take to become a designer?
KK: Before I started my career during college I was learning the technique of pattern cutting and various forms of embroidery under one designer for few year and after that I joined a design school to get professionally qualified.
Best/Most Challenging part of your job?
KK: The best part of my work is the fun and you get to meet lot of people with different ideas and also you can express your feelings through the garments you make. Most challenging part is to stay different because today in the market there are a lot of designers who are already famous and to get to a place among those famous and sustain in the market is very challenging and tough.
If you weren’t a designer what would you be?
KK: Hmmmmm if I were not a designer I would definitely be a Chef.
How did you get started in design?
KK: I started designing for a friend and family after my design school
What do you like about what you do?
KK: The creativity and the freedom
What’s a common misconception people have about what you do?
KK: Common misconception people have is that designer dresses are expensive which is not true at all people don’t get to see the time and effort the designer have to spend on one particular garment
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
KK: As a well known established designer.
What sparked your interest in design?
KK: The creativity and colour
How has your work evolved since you began your career?
KK: Since I started my career I can now say that I am in the right place where I wanted to be and what I always dreamed of.
Are there any types of clothing/footwear/accessories that you avoid wearing?
KK: I avoid wearing very formal dress hahahahah.
What are you fascinated by at the moment and how does it feed into your work?
KK: Nothing in particular….but I can be fascinated by anything but it all depends whereI am.
What is the biggest lesson that you have learned since you started your career?
KK: The biggest lesson I have learn so far is to be Patient.
What advice would you give to young designers?
KK: Stay focused and be patient, everyday, every minute, and every second is a learning process in this career.
What would you like to achieve before the end of the year?
KK: At the moment I am focusing on my new kids-wear line I hope by the end of the year my kids wear line will be on the market
Are you superstitious or do you have any rules you live by?
KK: I am not superstitious nor live by any rule

KK: To live a well balanced life personally and professionally
K. K. Singh, known in the fashion industry as Bung Keisham, was born and raised in Imphal (Manipur, India).
After beginning his design career in New Delhi, he moved to Shillong to start his own bridal wear line. ‘Bung by Bung’ launched his eponymous collection in February 2012 with a philosophy encompassing modern luxury, indelible style and an astute sense of glamour.
Barley a year after starting his career as a freelance designer with his own design and production team, Bung showed his collection in Shillong. The critical acclaim, that ensued, led to being chosen to show his collection at the ‘Shillong Fashion Week 2012’, presented by the Government of Meghalaya. He also had the opportunity to display his collection in a number of fashion shows in different states of India.
Since then, Bung Keisham has been working as an independent designer, specializing in bespoke and limited edition couture, under his own label “Bung by Bung’.
In 2014, Bung Keisham moved to Mumbai to finish his studies at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, while continuing to create and develop his design ideas. In May 2016, ‘Bung by Bung’ launched his kids’ wear collection to complement his popular women’s and bridal wear lines.
A determined focus on originality, quality and innovation has placed ‘Bung by Bung’ at the forefront of Indian fashion with his eagerly awaited designs, happily worn by ladies and children from different walks of life
