What should everyone know about you?
EB: This year I finished my Master’s degree in clothing design. It was the main prize in the competition for young fashion designers. I have almost 8 years experience in fashion design . Also, I’ve been running the company under my own name for 2.5 years.

How would you describe what you do?
EB: In my creations, I focus on quality and functionality. My projects are characterized by simplicity, however, everything has something distinctive. Clothes that I create are entirely made in Poland – from the project, through the fabrics, to the sewing.

Why did you choose to be a designer?
EB: I love to create and I believe that fashion is a unique art form because of its usefulness.

What steps did you take to become a designer?
EB: To become a fashion designer was my big dream, so when I got to the University I gained as much knowledge from professors as I could. I’ve learned not only to draw but also to how to recognize fabrics, construct and sew.

If you weren’t a designer what would you be?
EB: Certainly I would also do something creative. I could be an interior or garden designer because I love to stay close to nature.

How did you get started in design?
EB: I’m interested in fashion since high school. It began with a drawing course and reading a lot about the profession. Finally, I started studying fashion design at the University in Poznan.

What do you like about what you do?
EB: I create collections in short series and still getting pictures from satisfied customers who wear my casual projects in different parts of the world. For me, it is the greatest reward for the tremendous work that I put into each individual project and implementation of the collection sale.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

What sparked your interest in design?
EB: I was thinking about this a couple of times and I can’t answer this question, but I remember that I wanted to be a designer so much that I could not think of anything else, so I made that dream come true. 😉

How has your work evolved since you began your career?
EB: I think that in my designs I tend towards simplification of forms. The project is not necessarily better when it is filled with many different ideas. The trick is to choose the most appropriate form, color, fabric and make functional clothing with a twist.

Are there any types of clothing/footwear/accessories that you avoid wearing?
EB: White pants. I can’t imagine myself in them.

What are you fascinated by at the moment and how does it feed into your work?
EB: Recently I’m inspired by the cultures from around the world. In the last collection for autumn- winter HAIKU I was inspired by the work of Matsuo Basho, who in a few words could conclude so many meanings. In turn, the spring-summer collection is the result of research in the history of fashion, reaching up to antiquity.

What is the biggest lesson that you have learned since you started your career?
EB: This is not an easy profession. You need a lot of skills, hard work, and persistence to achieve success.

EB: Do not be afraid of challenges!

What would you like to achieve before the end of the year?
EB: I’ve just started selling my clothes in London and Shanghai. I hope that my esthetics will be well received and my brand will be noticed abroad.

Are you superstitious or do you have any rules you live by?
EB: I just try to be a good person.

What’s your motto?
EB: “If you don’t build your dream someone will hire you to help build theirs.”
